As of the 1990s, trought the excavations and presevation of archeological remains started in the area of the Brigetio, the collection grew so fast that it induced the foundation of a museum. With support of the city the main buildinf of the museum was opened in 1996, where you ma visit the permanent exhibition presented the Roman era history of Komárom. The buliding also houses of temporary exhibition room, where visual and applied arts, ethnographic and local history exhibitions related to the city are organized. Three other exhibition also belong to the museum: the Hungarian nautical history collection of DDr. Ferenc Juba, the memorial room dedicated to the legendary foorball player Zoltán Czibor and the Roman Rock Collection located in Fort Igmánd.

The Magyarock Music Theatre in Komárom has been welcoming its theatre-loving audiance since 2002. In addition to teaching history trough music, they consider the creation of new Hungarian musicals and musical plays as their task. The repertoire includes musicals and rock operas - written primarily by Hungarian playwrights - the topics of which are often related to different periods of the history of Hungary. The musical theatre also offers cheerful entertaining performances for those seeking recreation.
